Mentorship is more than professional advice—it is an investment in people, leadership, and the future of the Registrar and Admissions profession. In an environment shaped by complex policies, evolving systems, and constant collaboration, mentorship plays a vital role in sharing institutional knowledge, developing confidence, and cultivating sustainable leadership.
Hosted by the AACRAO Young Professionals Caucus, this webinar features Jack Miner, AACRAO Past President and Vice Provost for Enrollment Management at the University of Cincinnati. Jack joined UC after 28 years at The Ohio State University, where he most recently served as University Registrar and Executive Director of Enrollment Services. Throughout his career, Jack has worked at both state and national levels as an advocate for student access and success, bringing a deep understanding of the impact enrollment and records professionals have on students and institutions alike.
Drawing from decades of leadership experience as both mentor and mentee, Jack will explore how mentorship supports career growth, helps professionals navigate change, and strengthens Registrar and Admissions offices. Participants will gain insight into building meaningful mentoring relationships both formal and informal across career stages and organizational structures.
This webinar is designed for professionals at all career levels; this session invites attendees to reflect on their role in mentorship and how intentional guidance, advocacy, and connection contribute to a stronger, more inclusive AACRAO community. The Young Professionals Caucus works to help young higher education professionals gain confidence in what can be an intimidating and overwhelming profession. We meet monthly at the Caucus gatherings, and we invite all to attend!
