By Heather Zimar, Managing Editor, Journals and Publications, AACRAO
Readers of College & University Journal may already be familiar with the AACRAO Review, its long-running column dedicated to thoughtful book reviews and commentary on higher education literature. But did you also know we have a new voice helping to curate this section? Meet David Peterson of the University of Cincinnati, our first assistant editor of book reviews for C&U.
"My goals for this role are to curate thoughtful, relevant book reviews that highlight emerging ideas in enrollment management, student success, and institutional leadership,” said Peterson. “Ultimately, my aspiration is to enhance the journal’s impact by connecting readers with insights that inform and inspire their professional practice."
This is a volunteer position offered to one of our current editorial board members. The Assistant Editor of C&U role is a volunteer opportunity to exclusively:
Solicit and commission reviews.
Provide editorial oversight and consult with the Editor in Chief and Managing Editor as needed.
Manage 8-10 book reviews a year.
