Transfer credit work rarely fits into neat boxes. If you’ve ever caught yourself thinking, “I really wish I knew how other universities handle this,” you’re not alone—and that’s exactly why this session exists.
Transfer Credit: Working Through the Weird Stuff is an interactive conversation designed for professionals who live in the gray areas of learning mobility and credit evaluation. We’ll dig into the scenarios that generate the most questions, the most emails, and the most "Wait … what?" moments.
What We’ll Be Talking About
This session focuses on the realities of alternative and nontraditional credit, including:
AP and IB credit decisions.
Military credit and ACE recommendations.
Quarter-hour to semester-hour conversion challenges.
Syllabi review workflows and pain points.
Transcripts where names don’t quite match (and what to do next).
And other situations that don’t always come with a clear policy answer.
Rather than presenting a single right way, this discussion focuses on sharing practices, comparing approaches, and learning from each other’s experiences.
Discussion Questions We’ll Explore Together
Expect open conversation around questions like:
What are your current practices for evaluating alternative credit?
Who makes the final call at your institution—and how much influence do you personally have?
How do you communicate with students when additional documentation or clarification is needed?
What tools, templates, or resources do you rely on for transfer credit review and communication?
If you’ve ever struggled to explain a decision, manage expectations, or defend a process, this is the space to talk about it.
Bring Your Questions (and Your Weird Cases)
When: February 26, 2026, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Register today. Advanced registration is required to receive a Zoom link to attend.
This is not a sit-and-listen session. Bring the scenarios that keep you up at night, the cases you’d love a second opinion on, and the practices you’re proud of—or still questioning. Chances are, someone else in the room has faced something similar.
Whether you’re new to transfer credit or have years of experience untangling the weird stuff, this conversation promises practical insight, shared understanding, and maybe even a few “Oh wow, it’s not just us,” moments.
We hope you’ll join us.
