AACRAO Collective gathering

By Jennifer Minke, Admissions Director, Tarrant County College District

Supporting Veteran and Military-Connected students requires collaboration across offices and a shared understanding of evolving policies and compliance requirements.  The March AACRAO Collective Gathering invites members to engage in a peer-driven conversation focused on the work of School Certifying Officials and the offices that support military-connected learners.

This virtual gathering will provide a space for practitioners to exchange experiences and explore common challenges.  Discussion topics will include navigating new Dual Objective requirements, managing operations during federal shutdowns, and utilizing Annual Reporting Fees.  Participants will also examine where SCO offices are positioned within their institutions and how those structures impact service delivery, as well as lessons learned from seeking approval for Continuing Education programs.

Designed as an informal, discussion-based session, this Collective Gathering will use guiding questions to encourage open dialogue and shared learning.  Whether you work directly as an SCO or collaborate closely with military-connected student populations, this session offers an opportunity to connect with colleagues facing similar challenges and to learn from collective experience.
