Beginning on Oct. 1, 2016, students will be able to fill out the FAFSA for the 2017–18 school year. (In the past, they had to wait until January 1). In addition, applicants will no longer need to estimate income and tax information and will be able to retrieve their data directly from the IRS, right from the first day the FAFSA is available. Students also will have information about their Expected Family Contributions earlier, helping them as they’re going through the college application and selection process.

May Book Club - Minor Feelings: An Asian American Reckoning

May 26, 2021

AACRAO's member led book club meets monthly, choosing a content piece (novel, short story, graphic novel, etc.) to read over the course of the month, culminating in a one hour long discussion of thoughts, takeaways, and questions at the end.

May's selection is Minor Feelings: An Asian American Reckoning, by Cathy Park Hong.

From the book jacket:

Cathy Park Hong blends memoir, cultural criticism, and history to expose fresh truths about racialized consciousness in America. Part memoir and part cultural criticism, this collection is vulnerable, humorous, and provocative—and its relentless and riveting pursuit of vital questions around family and friendship, art and politics, identity and individuality, will change the way you think about our world.

Get your copy of the book today and then register for the discussion on May 26, hosted by members of the AACRAO Asian American and Pacific Islander Caucus.
