AACRAO members were asked about the type, volume and cost of official transcripts at their institution in this month’s 60-Second survey.

AACRAO members were asked about the type, volume and cost of official transcripts at their institution in this month’s 60-Second survey. A big take-away from this survey is that there is quite a variety of ways in which institutions charge for transcripts. The survey received responses from 688 institutions including several combinations of control, size, type and countries.

The enrollment value used to delineate the institution's size category is defined as full-time enrollment plus 1/3 of part-time enrollment and is based on the enrollment reported by the institution to the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).
