2020 AACRAO Elections - Nominations and Elections Committee Candidate

I believe in AACRAO and I want to promote that.

I have been in higher education for over 15 years, and feel passionate about education every single day.  I currently serve as the Associate Registrar for Transfer Articulation at York College of Pennsylvania.  My specialty is all things transfer – articulation, best practices, polices and procedure, recruitment, and partnership agreements.  My experience spans both public and private institutions, and two states – Maryland and Pennsylvania.

For over 7 years I’ve been connected to AACRAO in some way.  I've had the pleasure to attend annual meetings, present yearly at our conferences, serve on the Transfer Articulation Program Committee, write for C&U, and most importantly learn from the best our field has to offer. AACRAO has given me the opportunity to engage at the national level, providing me the chance to meet and connect with others from across the country.  I am forever grateful for these experiences and for those I have been fortunate to connect with.

One of my biggest positions on this committee would be engagement.  I believe engagement is key to keeping our profession connected to best practices, to each other, and to an organization that provides so much to all of us in higher education.  I wholeheartedly believe when you feel connected you want to give back and be involved. My hope is to promote the value of connecting and engaging with others in our field, if elected to N&E!

Thank you for your time.
