AB - The Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) implemented a plan in 2019 to improve the mindset of at-risk students with the goal to increase their overall success. In developing their plan, BMCC’s Enrollment Management team explored behavioral science research in order to gain a greater understanding of the sociological and emotional challenges that students face as they begin their college journey. Several strategies were successfully implemented to improve communications and relationships with students.
