About the Job

POSITION SUMMARY

AACRAO seeks candidates for a paid intern position for the Division of Education and Member Development. The ideal candidate will be motivated, active learners with interests in higher education conference planning, publications, and customer service. AACRAO seeks and encourages diverse applicants.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage publications storage in office including receiving and storing quarterly issues of C&U
  • Mail specific C&U claims as they come in
  • Staff the onsite bookstore and assisting with promotions at the Annual Meeting and other conferences
  • Assist with conference packing, unpacking and managing inventory in office
  • Assist with organizing shipments to conferences/events
  • Become familiar with AACRAO publications in order to assist customers at Annual Meeting on-site bookstore
  • Assist with other office duties as needed

      THE IDEAL CANDIDATE 

      The mission of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers is to serve and advance higher education by providing leadership in academic and enrollment services. The Publications Intern is a part-time position that is vital in assisting with the operations of the department.

      KNOWLEDGE, REQUIRED AND PREFERRED SKILLS
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (spelling, grammar, punctuation)
      • Strong editing, proofreading skills, planning/organizational skills and attention to detail
      • Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office Suites
      • Experience in Slack, Asana, and Salesforce preferred
