Prior Learning Assessment & Alternative Credit and Credentials Committee
Provides programming to inform the membership on offering, evaluating and applying learning by non-traditional means. Topics may include, but are not limited to, prior learning assessments (PLAs), military credit, competency-based education (CBE), credit-by-examination, portfolio assessments, certificates, micro-credentials and badging.

Registrar Faculty
Seeking faculty for either online or in person courses focused on basic skills and knowledge in registrar functions to courses that help participants advance in their careers. Those selected receive a small honorarium per course section taught.

Committees

AACRAO relies on member volunteers to support the mission and strategic plan for the organization. As current practitioners in the registrar, admissions and enrollment management professions, our members apply best practices, develop new ways of thinking about and doing our work, and identify strategies for success on campuses.

Write for AACRAO

AACRAO encourages its members to contribute to the development of the profession by authoring AACRAO publications. AACRAO is always seeking ideas and contributions for future publications.

Work Groups

Through work groups AACRAO has provided guidance to its membership on trending topics including transfer initiatives, disciplinary notations on transcripts, and gender identity. These reports are invaluable to maintaining the integrity of our members’ day-to-day work and keeping them up-to-date on best practices. When AACRAO is looking to provide guidance on emerging topics, member volunteers are needed to lead these initiatives.
