With increased student mobility comes a greater demand for our community to come together to support each other in the often complex and varied world of transfer. In response to this demand, AACRAO's Transfer & Articulation committee is hosting an
open community of practice call where any member of the AACRAO community can engage to discuss current issues or trends related to transfer credit, PLA, or articulation.
This is an open call to participate, whether you are new to transfer credit or a seasoned veteran. We welcome anyone interested in this topic area to help provide answers to questions membership has on their minds or discuss hot topics that are impacting
our campuses today.
November Session
Session Title: Nuts and Bolts: A Discussion of the Operational Mechanics of International Education Credentials Evaluation
Description: When I meet with other professionals who work in international student admissions, the conversation often turns to questions about how my department at the University of Phoenix operates and what our experiences have been. This session will begin with an overview of our practices, tools, resources, and evaluator training methods. The focus will then shift to an open discussion, offering participants an opportunity to compare approaches, share insights, and ask questions of the group.
Presenter: Beth Simpson, International Evaluation Manager, University of Phoenix
Note that this is a recurring meeting. It is normally held at 3 PM ET on the last Friday of every other month. Dates may change if session is held around the holidays.
