PESC GEO Code: Optimizing Efficiencies and Improving Data Quality with a Common Code

October 8, 2019

Free webinar |  | 2-3 PM ET

Data processing, data matching and credential evaluation all provide value by making data in one format or language understandable and useable in another format or language.  Central to this process is a trusted link of institution codes (school, college, university) used in analysis, applications and systems to identify data, data sets or transactions.  Without an institution code in some instances, or presented with too many disparate code sets in others, many are left implementing manual processes and complicated mapping rules.

PESC Global Education Organization (GEO) Code looks to solve this problem by establishment of GEO Codes for every institution and linkages to all existing codes sets currently in use, and new code sets as they emerge.

GEO Codes are currently in use at the University of Southern California which has processed tens of thousands of transactions over the past two years.  The GEO Code digital directory was launched at the GDN 8th Annual Meeting in Puebla April 2019 and functionality to enable country administration is currently being tested.  The rollout of Phase 1 includes all colleges and universities and for Canada and the USA, all high schools.  Phase 2 looks to include all organizations that provide education services.

Join this webinar if you work in the Registrar’s Office, Records, International Education, credential evaluation, application development or data processing.  Included in the webinar will be a review of the features and functionalities of the digital GEO Code directory.
