Portugal's new school calendar year and exam dates

The Ministry of Education released the updated school calendar, taking into account the changes resulting from the early school break and online teaching.

Functioning of school activities and breaks

Carnival break: eliminated. Academic activity continues.

Easter break: from March 29th to April 1st.

End of 3rd period

Pre-school, 1st cycle and 2nd cycle - 8 July.

7th, 8th and 10th grades of schooling - 23 June.

9th, 11th and 12th grades - June 18th.

External Evaluation

Assessment tests for the 2nd, 5th and 8th grades: between the 14th and 21st of June.

Oral component of the 5th grade English test - between May 27th and June 9th. Due to their characteristics and the period in which they would be held, the 2nd year assessment tests of Artistic Expression and Physical Education were, from now on, excluded from the calendar.
