The Ministry of Education said on the 8th, "Today, in the Cabinet meeting, the presidential election date has been confirmed for June 3, and as a result, the previously scheduled June 3 mock exam (for 3rd year high school students) and national joint academic assessment (for 1st and 2nd year high school students) for the 2026 academic year will be rescheduled to June 4."
On the same day, the government held a regular Cabinet meeting and confirmed June 3 as the date for the next presidential election, which will be carried out following the impeachment of former President Yoon Seok-youl.
Accordingly, the date for the June mock exam for the 2026 academic year, organized by the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation, will take place on June 4. It was originally planned for June 3, but was postponed by one day due to the decision on the election date for the 21st president.
As a result of the adjustment of the exam date, the schedule related to the exam will also be delayed by one day. The application and change period will shift from the original April 10 to April 11. Students who have already submitted applications will be changed automatically.
However, the notification of scores is expected to be made on July 1, unchanged from the original schedule.
The June mock exam is the first mock test of the year. It will be conducted simultaneously across the country from 8:40 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. on June 4.
