AACRAO kicks off the LEAD Initiative

With a warmly enthusiastic crowd of over 120 SEM professionals in attendance, AACRAO launched the LEAD Initiative at a Monday night reception at the 2018 SEM Conference. The reception was hosted by AACRAO Vice President for Access and Equity Tiffany Robinson, Assistant Vice Provost/University Registrar at the University of Kansas and AACRAO SEM Advisory Board Member Dr. Tomikia LaGrande, Vice Provost of SEM at Virginia Commonwealth University, along with a diverse set of enrollment leaders.

A note from the 2018 Baden-Württemberg Seminar

Five days. Six cities. Two countries. Eight educational institutions. Travel by taxi, bus, ferry, train, and on foot (50,000+ steps). Five AACRAO members and ten NAFSA members received a whirlwind introduction to the German educational system sponsored by the Baden-Württemberg government and hosted by the University of Konstanz.

UARRM is a group of researchers, practitioners and policymakers seeking to harness the potential of university communities for the empowerment and protection of refugees and at-risk migrants in the United States.

What began as a series of articles in AACRAO’s journal, College and University, has become a collection of insights and reflections on a variety of mentoring styles and programs.
