The 2005 AACRAO Student Services Technology Conference will bring together technology practitioners and managers from admissions, bursar, enrollment management, financial aid, and registrar organizations, to share ideas, information, and solutions.
Technological integration is a key challenge for student services departments. We are implementing integrated ERP systems to replace our old standalone systems. We are tasked with managing integrated systems that cross departmental lines. We are challenged with integrating new technologies - XML, document imaging, identity and access management, etc. - with existing systems. We are integrating vendor products with open source software with home-grown systems. More and more, "No system is an island."
