This workshop will discuss strategies for managing the transfer and swirl processes as part of a SEM approach, including innovative partnerships between two- and four-year institutions.

This workshop will explore the application of SEM principles to enhance graduate enrollment from the student and program perspective, including coordination with the Bologna Process to attract international students. The Bologna Process has several implications for graduate enrollment management. This workshop explores the more commonly known issues of three-year degrees, diploma supplements, and determination of a student's preparation for graduate work. It also examines the opportunities Bologna presents for joint/dual degrees, recruitment of master's students, and expansion of three-year degrees worldwide and their implications for enrollment management.

Financial aid, used effectively, can be one of the many powerful tools to optimize enrollment. This workshop will provide an overview of the concepts and methods of gathering and assessing institutional data with practical examples of leveraging. The workshop will also cover issues of data assembly, cleaning and coding, tools to assess financial aid effectiveness, and strategies for institutional aid assignment to meet institutional enrollment goals. While the concepts presented can be applied in any national system, this session will utilize information from the United States federal financial aid programs.
