Optimizing Flexible Schedules One Year Later: An Update

Abstract

The campus calendar is no longer solely semester or term driven, but rather the calendar is laden with non-standard start times, abbreviated sessions, etc. Administrative (e.g., financial aid) and pedagogical considerations for these nonstandard schedules have largely been addressed but little is known about how these schedules affect student progress and course enrollments (a full classroom). Using a new summer calendar, this presentation will explore the impact of non- standard schedules.
