Lone Star Pledges to Use Bond Funds for Improved Security

Lone Star College officials pledged to use funds to improve security if Houston voters approve a bond referendum May 11. The college has experienced two violent incidents this year: 14 students were stabbed by another student in April and three people were shot in January. Lone Star plans to add more video surveillance, enhanced lighting, improved public address systems, and automated door locking systems to its school.
