SEM Core Concepts and SEM Planning for Institutional Teams (4 or more participants)
S1.5728
Fee: $350 flat rate for 4 or more participants

Presenters:
Brent Gage, University of Iowa
Wayne Sigler, AACRAO Consulting

This session is designed for institutions that bring four or more people to the SEM Conference.  It includes an overview of the Core Concepts of Strategic Enrollment Management – the foundations of long-range enrollment planning that are critical to successful SEM plans.  The workshop also provides participants with a review of methods to organize planning teams and the process for creating a SEM plan on your campus.

During the workshop, institutional teams will be assigned a guiding question to be considered each day of the conference.  Teams will meet their assigned SEM faculty mentor.  The mentor will touch base with the team at the end of Monday and Tuesday to discuss the guiding question during the scheduled team check-in sessions (note that mentors will have more than one team each and will divide the session time between teams or group them together for discussion).

This workshop will also feature a presentation and discussion of effective SEM teams and their roles in facilitating SEM planning and implementation.  This provides institutional teams food for thought in considering the commitments required to effectively manage enrollments on their campuses.
