AACRAO's 100th
Annual Meeting
Education on the Verge: The Precipice of Change

March 30-April 2, 2014
Colorado Convention Center
Denver, Colorado

AACRAO's Annual Meeting is the premier professional development opportunity for our members. Participants can play an active role in the success of the meeting by presenting a session or by serving as a session facilitator. The specific responsibilities of program participants are outlined below.

Present at the Annual Meeting

The Call for Proposals for each Annual Meeting opens in February or March of the preceding year. Once you are selected as a presenter at the meeting, you will be notified of your acceptance by the Annual Meeting Program Committee. To help you plan your session, action items as well as guidelines for preparing your session are provided in the links below.

FREE Online Presenter Workshop

Whether you are a novice presenter at AACRAO meetings or a seasoned colleague, we invite you to visit our new online Presenter Workshop. This workshop is offered as a free, interactive course site in AACRAO’s online learning management system. The site is monitored regularly by experienced presenters who are available to answer questions and provide assistance.  The course is open continuously, so you can visit it at your convenience to explore options for your session format to increase audience engagement, get design tips for presentation visuals, locate resources helpful to presenters, and obtain feedback on drafts of your session plans and presentation materials.  To visit the workshop:

  1. Go to URL:  http://elearn.aacrao.org/login/index.php\
  2. Click on “Login as a guest”
  3. Click on “Presenter Workshop”

The site provides simple guidelines for how to participate in the workshop according to your interests and current level of expertise.  If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Linda Smith, Online Course Coordinator, at smithl@aacrao.org or call 202-355-1044.

Volunteer to be a Facilitator

Give back to the association by volunteering to be a session facilitator. You can play a valuable role with minimal time commitment. As a facilitator, you work with presenters to help make sure that their session runs smoothly. An added perk is that you can avoid long registration lines and register quickly at the presenter/facilitator check-in. Do your part in supporting the organization by volunteering as a facilitator -- sign up today!
