Strategic Enrollment Management Conference

The SEM Award of Excellence (SAE) is a peer-review awards program that recognizes outstanding achievement and visionary leadership in strategic enrollment management. Purposes of the SAE Award are to provide formal recognition to exemplary SEM professionals who make a significant contribution to their institution in achieving SEM goals, establish benchmarks and models for SEM practice, promote the core values of student access and success within SEM, and contribute to the ongoing development of the SEM profession.

The award recipient for 2013 will be announced at the SEM Conference.

Incoming community college students are often confused and overwhelmed by the barriers that occur during the college enrollment process.  The sequence of steps that a student must complete in order to enroll in courses at Harper is known as student flow. Research suggests that the lack of structure within a student flow is likely to result in poorly informed decisions about whether and how to persist toward a credential.
