On November 10, 2013, college and university chancellors, presidents, board members, provosts, chief enrollment management officers and their executive level team members will convene at the Hilton Chicago on Michigan Avenue, for the 8th Annual AACRAO Executive Symposium,SEM as a Driver for Academic Planning. There will be an evening reception for networking and discussing leading-edge enrollment issues at 6:00pm on November 9th

While student recruitment and retention receive a great deal of attention in strategic enrollment management discussions, SEM is about much more than just enrollment. To an increasing extent, SEM is being used as a framework for strategic planning in multiple areas. This includes academic issues ranging from curriculum planning to projecting enrollment and space needs, to classroom utilization. By aligning curriculum, enrollment, and financial components, SEM enables institutions to achieve new levels of efficiency and effectiveness in achieving desired outcomes.

This year’s program includes a stimulating combination of:

  • Targeted input from thought leaders in strategic enrollment management
  • An overview of the core concepts of SEM
  • A model for integrating academic, enrollment, and financial planning
  • A case study of how one institution has implemented SEM
  • Networking discussions throughout the day; and
  • Actionable ideas for improving enrollment and financial outcomes over the long-term

Afterwards, Symposium attendees are encouraged to register for the full SEM Conference, the leading meeting of higher education professionals focused on achieving student, enrollment, and financial success.

SEM Conference Highlights:

  • Keynote addresses from leading higher education experts
  • Opportunities for institutional teams to review their enrollment plans with leading SEM professionals
  • Input and discussion on innovative recruitment and retention strategies
  • Access to a select group of exhibitors and corporate presenters
