Which Membership is Right for Me?

AACRAO is an institutionally-based membership structure. AACRAO has very few individual membership options, so in the majority of cases you will join through your institution. We offer voting and nonvoting memberships as well as corporate and organizational partnerships.

Voting Institutional Memberships

If you are at a post-secondary, degree-granting, accredited institution or system office, your institution should join under this membership category. Academic institutions outside the United States should also join under this category if recognized by their ministry of education. If your institution is already a member of AACRAO, additional memberships may be added through the additional membership category.
Nonvoting Memberships

Nonvoting Institutional Memberships
If you are at a state-licensed postsecondary institution that is ineligible for regular voting institutional membership your institution should join under this, the affiliate membership category.

Nonvoting Individual Memberships
AACRAO is an institutionally-based membership organization. Consequently, there are a limited number of individual memberships available. If you are a high school registrar or counselor; a retired AACRAO member; a graduate student at an AACRAO member institution; or at an international secondary or postsecondary institution outside North America you can apply under the nonvoting individual membership category.
Corporate Partnerships

If you are an individual or organization, whether for profit or non-profit, that provides products and services that assist or benefit the needs or purposes of AACRAO members, you can join under our corporate partner category.
Organizational Partnerships

If you are at a public sector or private non-profit association whose interests are closely aligned to AACRAO, you can join under the organizational partner category. Examples of organizational partners would include state higher education coordinating boards, other higher education associations, accrediting bodies, and international ministries of education.
