As you enter the park from the mountains, the spectacular panorama of the lake unfolds before you. A private guide will narrate throughout the motor coach portion of your tour. You will arrive at the Lake Mead Marina and board the Desert Princess for a cruise on the largest man-made lake in the world. During the one hour thirty minute cruise, enjoy a spectacular view of the colorful Arizona Paint Pots, Boulder Islands, Castle Reef, and Sentinel Island. Once finished at Lake Mead, journey to one of the world’s greatest manmade wonders – Hoover Dam. The dam, rising 72 stories and creating the largest manmade lake in the Western Hemisphere, also tames the Colorado River. Lead performers and showgirls from the show, will give you a backstage view of the inner workings of a major Las Vegas review, their dressing rooms, scenery, special effects, costumes and the inner workings of a major Las Vegas extravaganza. Then, it’s off to Liberace Museum to see the world’s rarest piano collection, classic and customized automobiles, plus a close-up look at the legendary million-dollar wardrobe from the world of “Mr. Showmanship.” Date: Monday, April 19, 2004 RED ROCK CANYON TOUR Located only 16 miles out of Las Vegas, the Red Rock Canyon Recreation Area is a definite must see experience. Red Rock Canyon was formed from the Keystone Trust Fault approximately 65 million years ago. The first stop will be at the Red Rock Visitors’ Center. Numerous audio/visual exhibits depict the flora, fauna and geological history of the area. Upon leaving the Visitors’ Center, you will travel the 13-mile scenic drive where you will see magnificent rock formations in brilliantly colored sandstone. The last hour of your tour will be a stop at Bonnie Springs Old Nevada, originally built in 1843 as a stopover for the wagon trains going to California. At this authentic old western town, you can visit shops and see gunfights, mock hangings and an 1880 melodrama. Date: Wednesday, April 21, 2004 GRAND CANYON 4 FOR 1 TOUR This tour combines four spectacular sights into one tour! Start the day at the Hoover Dam! This memorable and exciting adventure will take guests across the unbelievable and massive Hoover Dam, one of the seven technical wonders of the world. Panoramic and colorful views of the surrounding Black Canyon and Lake Mead will leave guests in awe. Next, drive to the BOTTOM of the Grand Canyon via a 4 x 4 trail where the group will spend approximately 4 hours viewing and shooting some of the most spectacular scenes in the world. The cacti and other plant life in this location are usually large and beautiful. See wildlife such as wild burros, wild horses and big horn sheep. Next, guests will travel out of the canyon and to the West Rim where they will experience the most incredible view of the Grand Canyon. This rim location has remained virtually untouched by the 20th century. View approximately 5 miles of the Colorado River from this extremely sheer and breathtaking location. The fourth and final stop is at a Joshua Tree Forest in Arizona. The forest is 700 – 900 years old and is along a remote route removed from the Grand Canyon.
