This is the final report of the Electronic
Transcript Task Force. The primary goals of the group were to summarize
more current electronic options for transcripts, note best practices,
and forecast a sense of future development. In addition, the group
conducted a survey of various companies that offer electronic transcript
services. While the intention is NOT to evaluate the various vendor
options, it is the hope that the report and the survey results will
provide useful information to institutions as they consider electronic
transcript opportunities. The group is also planning a follow-up
discussion/“one-year later” update at the Annual Meeting in
